The flip-flop is back, but not the beach version. This time it comes with a kitten heel, and it’s showing up everywhere from Instagram feeds to Pakistani street style.
The shape is simple: a thin suede thong strap, a small curved heel, a rounded toe. Brands worldwide have been pushing the style for spring/summer, and it’s landed just as fast in Pakistan.
What’s different is how it’s being worn. Not with beachwear, but with actual outfits: midi skirts, straight jeans, capri pants. The flip-flop, once strictly casual, is now doing the job of a dressy sandal.
Part of the appeal is the low-effort height. A kitten heel adds just enough lift without asking for the same commitment as a stiletto, which makes the shoe easy to wear all day.
Expect the trend to keep spreading here as more local brands start stocking a heeled flip-flop of their own.
